Welcome back! I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Academic Updates

  • We will learn about three letter blends such as spr, scr, and spl.

  • The elements of fiction will take center stage this week as we study the ideas of character, plot, conflict, resolution, and setting.

  • In math we will spend some time working on our understanding of the concept of subtraction as well as fluency.

  • Students will consider the ideas of wants vs. needs.

  • Our positivity project theme this week is kindness.

  • We will continue to enjoy our study of space.

General Notes

  • Please be sure to label your Firstie’s outdoor gear.

  • We will be going outside daily, so please send appropriate supplies-boots, hats, gloves, snowpants, etc. If this presents a problem, please let me or the office know and we will do what we can to make sure your kiddo is ready for fun outside at school.

  • Toys from home should stay at home except for special days for our class.

  • Report cards went home on Tuesday, prior to Thanksgiving.  Please contact me to set up an appointment if you have any questions or concerns.
